Endless NorEaster

It’s starting to seem like this NE’r will never end. It has really put a damper on our local kayak fishing.  Im not sure if we are going to be able to squeeze in another tournament this year.  If we start getting reports of good stripers bites around the birdges then that could be a possibility….. Stay tuned!

Specks in the surf

The run of specks in the surf has kept us all in our waders and not in our boats!  I hope everyone has gotten in on the hot action over the past week.  I have seen plenty of fish over 20″ up to 25″!!!  The stripers are showing up on the bridges and thats where my yak will be for the next month or two….. See you guys out there.

Gathering content

Ed and I have been out on a few trips to try to gather some content for the website. We did pretty well on the speckled trout on grass lines using a variety of baits. While targeting specks we also picked up some greys and puppy drum too. I really enjoy fishing areas that are holding an abundance of species. It really adds to the excitement and anticipation.

We also paddled out to the Currituck Bridge and gave the stripers a go….. It was a beautiful evening but the stripers didnt cooperate as much as we were hoping. We did manage a couple bites and picked up one small striper.  We will get em next time!

Success!
